Second picture for my new project about Inavesu’s characters, “The Six Deaths”, which will focus on the death that each Embodiment’s mortal spoil had to suffer before the ascension. (Embodiments were all born among mortals, totally unaware of their nature, they only discovered it after their death and rebirth).
_____Istaaz of Death and Fate, Embodiment of all that's Absolute on the Earth, also known as the "Blind Fate"
The oldest among the actual Embodiments, belonging to one of the most ancient races of elves who lived on the earth.
Blind from birth, she's always been an extremely weak creature, requiring assistance not only because of her sight problem, but even for the smallest things, like walking or handling slightly heavy objects.
Because of this, she never had a proper childhood as any other kid around her; constantly surrounded by adults, and extremely self-conscious of her situation, she ended up growing too fast for her age, showing soon a wisdom and a confidence that hardly fitted her little figure.
Then, when she reached puberty, she started developing powers no one had witnessed before.
Even thought she was completely blind, she affirmed to be able to see the vital aura of all the life forms that surrounded her, making her capable of knowing when everyone was born, and also, when they were going to die. But most of all, she realized that now, by touching another person, she was able to see trough their eyes.
Seeing this as sort of divine sign, the priestesses of her tribe took her away from her family and brought her to the sacred cloister of Earth: there she was raised in complete seclusion and chastity by the other nuns, and trained to became a white priestesses.
She never complained, convinced that it was all part of her destiny; with the help of the other nuns she studied and exercised until she finally became one of the healers of the tribe. She was no more simply forced to see when people were going to die, now she could do something to avoid it, and this finally made her feel at peace...
Alas, as she used her healing powers to help people, her vital strength seemed to weaken more and more; when the other priestesses noticed this, they tried to stop her from keeping consuming herself, confining her inside the temple and restraining her from using her powers further.
She told them that it was no use, she knew she was going to die soon anyway, yet, they never agreed to let her use her powers again.
When she died, none of the priestesses was around to notice, and when they looked for her she was not there anymore.
She was just gone.
