It doesn't even smoke - a soliloquy on art block

So, my Inspiration went to buy cigarettes.

I knew what was going on, since my Inspiration doesn't smoke, so, when it didn't come back as I expected, I decided to send my Will to Draw looking for it in order to bring it back to me.
It turned out to be a bad idea, since I never saw either of them again.
It's about a month now.

No need to mention how much I could use their help right now.
I tried to do things without them, but it didn't really work out... Of course I can still draw, it's not like one can lose the ability to do something when head traumas are not involved. Problem is, I'd rather wash dishes or spend the whole morning on the couch with my dog as a blanket than draw.
I know what people like to say in this cases...
"It's not art block, it's just you being lazy"
Yeah right, I'm so lazy I'd rather clean the whole house or stare the wall the whole day than do what I love the most. You're a genius, my problem is solved now, thanks.
"Then keep drawing anyway!"
I did it. Ironically, they even gave me a DD for what I did while trying to force me to draw anyway.
Did Inspiration and Will come back after that?
Sadly no. If possible, I think it even worsened the situation, like "look at her, getting praised for a work she was going to throw away and still complaining she has art block, go waste someone else's time"...

Truth is, there seems to be no point trying to lure them with insults or commiseration.
I just need to wait.
I'll be there, eating chocolate while snuggling on the couch with my dog, and at some point they'll be too cold and too hungry to resist and they'll come back to me.

Because I have chocolate.
And a huge, fluffy dog.

Hey, you know what you should do? Take the extra time to watch those series, shows and films or read those books you've been meaning to for a while. Everybody's got a "to-watch" or "to-read" list they can hardly come back to because they lack the time. Just spend some extra time watching great shows and getting into awesome stories, not only because they're a great place to find your inspiration again, because doing something you like is always enjoyable and that's enough reason to do it already.

Take your time off and enjoy it!
